Starbucks Coffee Company announced it will be closing its more than 8,000 company-owned stores in the United States on the afternoon of 29 May to conduct racial-bias education geared toward preventing discrimination in its stores.
Pursuant to the challenges the global coffee industry faces, one of the major topics discussed was to start the process to formalise the structure of the WCPF as a not-for-profit organisation.
